The DRUMI® method

Begin your day
with yourself.

DRUMI® is a thoughtfully designed evening and morning ritual. A small moment to turn your attention inward, explore what matters to you, and let that understanding guide how you live.

Informed by research. Inspired by history. Shaped by lived experience.

Your evening. Your morning. Your moment.

In the evening, you pause with what the day has left behind. You acknowledge your feelings, notice what is on your mind, and give yourself room to reflect.

In the morning, you begin with what stayed with you through the night. A dream, an image, a feeling. Gentle prompts invite you to write, explore your own associations, and consider the connections with your everyday life.

As your pages fill, you have something to return to: a record of experiences, emotions, and recurring themes that you can explore with fresh perspective.

You bring the curiosity. DRUMI® provides the structure.

Why we begin with dreams

A dream gives you something personal to explore. The details that catch your attention become a starting point for questions about your feelings, needs, and experiences.

Research on guided dream discussion has found that participants recognised connections between their dreams and waking lives and reported personal insights. In one of the approaches studied, exploring a dream led to greater self-reported insight than exploring a recent waking-life event.1

For DRUMI®, these findings make dreams a compelling starting point for self-reflection. Your own experiences and associations guide what you take from the process.

A long history.
A personal beginning.

People have explored the meaning of dreams for thousands of years. An ancient Egyptian dream book preserved in the British Museum records this curiosity more than three thousand years ago. DRUMI® takes inspiration from that enduring desire to understand our inner lives.2

Its personal foundation comes from founder Chanella Clarke. Writing down and exploring her dreams became a way to recognise patterns, make room for her feelings and needs, and find direction. That experience inspired her to create a guided ritual others could make their own.

Let your discoveries become part of your day.

An insight becomes useful when you decide what to do with it. A need you finally acknowledge. A boundary you put into words. A conversation you choose to begin.

DRUMI® invites you to take what feels meaningful from your reflection and give it a place in how you live.

Some mornings, you will have a whole dream to explore. Others, only a feeling. You can begin with whatever is there.

Your time. Your space.
Your first page.

Begin with Awakening, the first DRUMI® journal, and make a little room for yourself at the beginning and end of your day.
